My Mom’s birthday was yesterday and we had a family potluck to celebrate. Of course we had two new members to add to the group: Rayce, Gary and Lauren’s new so (I call him grandchild #2 of 3) and Phoenix. Actually, Phoenix is still in vitro but she was there along with her mom and dad – Travis and Melissa. Dori told me when everyone was leaving, Kove asked for a travel mug of chocolate milk to go.

Dori told to ask his dad. Gary said that Kove would have to wait until they got home which upset Kove. He came back to Dori who was standing next to Lauren (Kove’s mom) and said that although his dad said ‘no’ he still wanted Mimi (Dori) to make him a mug to go. Dori said. “I thought you said your dad said no..” to which Kove replied, “I just want it without asking him….” That’s my boy – ask forgiveness – not permission.
